Our Nuwara Eliya Tea Garden produces a tea which is light and bright with mellow flavour, branded as "Inverness". The tea is grown at an elevation of 2,400 metres above sea level within the Mahagastotte Valley.
The name Inverness is inherited from the original planters who would have found these hills reminiscent of their beloved homeland in Scottish highlands. Nuwara Eliya Tea Garden is the only garden planted totally by the indigenous people of Ceylon.
